Alysha is an experienced recreation specialist as well as a board certified and registered art therapist. She uses recreation-based therapies to help clients reduce symptoms and process deep emotions. Alysha’s passion for art utilized helps clients better understand themselves and their needs. Her creative healing methods include arts, crafts, animals, movement, drama, music, and community outings to encourage improvement in client’s physical and mental health by helping clients connect their mind and body. Alysha believes in the power of positive recreation and emotional expression to help transform someone’s life.

A bulk of Alysha’s experience has been working in inpatient treatment settings with individuals of all ages and demographics. She utilizes these experiences to ensure any activity she plans is accessible to any client and their level of willingness. 

Alysha received her Master’s of Arts degree in Art Therapy as well as her Bachelor’s of Art with a focus on Art Therapy from Marywood University in Scranton, PA.
